Wilhelm began his journey at Queens College in 1992 as an undergraduate/ESL student and earned his Bachelors 4 years later. While pursuing his Bachelor, he completed a full year internship at La Sorbonne Nouvelle of the University of Paris. He returned to Queens College to Complete his Masters in French Literature & Language.

He made his debut in teaching at  Queens College as an adjunct in French. He served in the same capacity at Queensborough Community College and  at  St.  John’s University.

After completing an Accelerated Certificate Program in Education  at Queens College, Wilhelm accepted a full time teaching position at Sacred Heart Academy in Hempstead NY, where he  taught for 2 years. He left this position to join the 2nd Language Department  at  Garden City High School. 4 years later, when they began to phase out the language program in Garden City,  he accepted a position in Uniondale, where he has been teaching since 2003. 

Wilhelm is gearing up for the next opportunity while fulfilling his all time dream to earn a doctorate. He hopes a doctorate will provide him the voice and the platform that he sees as sine qua non to change the status quo in education.
